Data Deletion Instructions

This page provides instructions on how to request deletion of your personal data from Foloop, in accordance with GDPR (Article 17 - Right to Erasure) and Meta/Facebook App Review requirements.
📱 For Meta/Facebook App Review
If you logged in to Foloop using your Facebook/Meta account or connected your WhatsApp Business Account, you can request deletion of all data we collected from Meta/Facebook platforms.
What Data Can Be Deleted?
You can request deletion of:
- Account Information: Name, email, phone number, company details
- WhatsApp Conversation Data: All messages, contact information, metadata processed through Foloop
- User-Generated Content: Notes, tags, follow-up reminders, custom fields
- Usage Data: Logs, analytics data associated with your account
- Facebook/Meta Login Data: If you connected via Facebook Login or WhatsApp Cloud API
How to Request Data Deletion
You have three options to request data deletion:
Option 1: Delete via Account Settings (Recommended)
- Log in to your Foloop account at app.foloop.com
- Go to Settings → Account
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion by entering your password
- Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 48 hours
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@foloop.com with the following information:
- Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
- Body: Include your registered email address and/or WhatsApp Business Account phone number
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days (typically within 7 days)
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Option 3: Contact Form
Use our contact form at foloop.com/#demo and select "Data Deletion Request" as the subject. Include:
- Your full name
- Registered email address
- WhatsApp Business Account phone number (if applicable)
What Happens After You Request Deletion?
- Verification: We will verify your identity to prevent unauthorized deletion requests
- Processing: Your request will be processed within 30 days (GDPR requirement)
- Deletion: All your data will be permanently deleted from our production databases, backups, and third-party processors
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete
- Exceptions: We may retain minimal data if required by law (e.g., tax records, legal disputes) for up to 5 years
Data Deletion Timeline
- •Production Database: Deleted within 48 hours
- •Backups: Deleted within 90 days (as backups are rotated)
- •Third-Party Processors: Deletion requests forwarded immediately; processed within 30 days
- •Logs/Analytics: Anonymized or deleted within 90 days
Data We Cannot Delete
We may retain certain data if:
- Required by law (e.g., invoices for tax purposes - 5 years under Polish law)
- Necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements
- Necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Foloop, our users, or the public
In such cases, we will inform you of the specific data retained and the legal basis for retention.
Data Deletion for Meta/Facebook Users
If you connected Foloop via Facebook Login or WhatsApp Cloud API:
- We will delete all data we received from Meta/Facebook platforms
- This includes your Facebook profile information (if you used Facebook Login) and WhatsApp Business Account data
- You will receive a confirmation code to track your deletion request (format:
DEL-YYYY-XXXXXX) - You can check the status of your request by emailing us with your confirmation code
Alternative: Data Export (Before Deletion)
Before requesting deletion, you may want to export your data:
- Log in to your account at app.foloop.com
- Go to Settings → Data Export
- Download your data in JSON or CSV format
Alternatively, email privacy@foloop.com to request a data export.

⚠️ Important Notice
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to export any important data before submitting a deletion request. If you have an active subscription, it will be canceled, and you will not receive a refund for any remaining period.
